Discover inspiring hotel concepts and the seven essential components to reinvent your hotel.
About this event
Technology, changing consumer behaviour and deregulation are challenging hospitality at its core. What’s more, these trends have been accelerated by the coronavirus pandemic, and are forcing hoteliers to review the fundamentals of their value proposition. How to reinvent/transform your hotel offer after the crisis? How to unlock new areas of growth? And how to promote a coherent and compelling guest experience?
Often, the answer to these questions is putting in place an effective hotel concept.
But what exactly is a hotel concept? How do you create one? And how do you implement it?
Drawing on our successful Hotel Concept Handbook – resulting from a collaboration with EHL (Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne) – we will share with you inspiration and practical advice to (re)invent your hotel.
In this insight-packed webinar you will:
- Learn about the 7 components (of the Hotel Concept Framework) that are part of every great hotel concept
- Discover exclusive examples of successful hotel brands – from a Japanese hotel that doubles as a fashion label to a Parisian Café that produces its own music
- Find out how you can not only adapt your hotel to the latest trends, but become a trendsetter yourself
- Get the chance to ask questions about your hotel to Creative Supply’s expert team
Whether your objective is to reinvent your hotel from top to bottom or simply to broaden your knowledge, this session will give you ideas and motivation to build or improve your hotel concept.
Session schedule
17:00 Introduction
17:05 Global inspirations and best practices for your hotel
17:35 Plenary discussion and closing

Free weekly digital marketing workshop to gain clarity, create and execute achievable plans and keep your bosses happy!
Multiple Dates
About this event
Are you a marketing professional working in a winery? Then this workshop is for you!
Let’s face it:
- 🥲 Marketing is inherently hard.
- 😩 There is a lot of marketing advice out there, but little time to learn, implement, test, and evaluate every new tactic.
- 🤔 Bosses want to see a return on their investment.
I have spent the last 10 years learning, implementing, testing and evaluating hundreds of marketing best practices and want to share my knowledge with you. Why?
My name is Cristian Ventura and I’m based in Austin. For the past 2 years, I’ve been on a journey to learn more about the amazing, fast-growing Texas wine industry. I’m specifically interested in how digital marketing can be used to achieve better results in selling DTC, as well as increasing business on-site business.
I have decided that the best way to document and share what I’m learning is through these weekly digital marketing workshops. I have spent thousands of dollars on courses, software, tools, training and resources so you don’t have to!
My goal is to:
- 🤩 Help you gain clarity so your work is more enjoyable.
- 🧐 Narrow down the marketing tactics that really matter for our industry, improving the time it takes to lean, implement test and evaluate it for your winery.
- 🤠 Provide key tools that will help you show your boss the metrics and results that will make them happy.
What do you need to get the best out of these workshops?
- Commit to being there live every week. Tell your boss that you’re doing this to facilitate more opportunities to grow the winery’s reach and audience. Connecting to the live discussion will help you pose questions and get actionable answers.
- Have pen and paper (Or a to-do app) ready to take notes and set dates.
- Shift your mindset. Be willing and open to explore, test and break (yes, break) a few things here and there.

Hospitaity
This session is ideal for all those seeking to learn more about preparing a detailed zero based budget for their hospitality business.
About this event
Following almost two years of unprecedented disruption due to the pandemic, the process of budgeting and forecasting has changed forever. We can no longer rely on prior year figures and continuation of the same market demand and economic conditions. The new normal requires agility and speed to react to the pace of change and our systems for planning and forecasting need to adapt to this. Our budgeting needs to take account of the changing market demands and every cost line in the P&L needs to be justified including both variable and fixed costs. This approach to justifying every revenue and expense is called Zero Based Budgeting and requires us to reconsider every line in the P & L to justify the values and ensure every cost earns its place. Join us for this session to find out more.
In this 90 minute webinar delegates will learn more about:
- Fixed budgets and zero based budgets
- How to prepare a zero based budget
- Building revenue and costs for the P & L
Revenue managers, general managers and asset managers will all benefit from this event.
The webinar will be hosted by Debra Adams, owner at arena4finance.
Debra Adams is the founder of the business, a leading practitioner in developing courses for improving financial know how and commercial acumen in the service sectors. She is the author of the highly acclaimed textbook ‘Strategic Management Accounting for the Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Industries’ now available here in 2nd edition. The third edition is to be published by Goodfellow Publishing in 2021.
What our clients say:
Debra Adams is simply amazing at helping non-financial managers to not only understand, but actively engage with, the commercial and financial aspects of their operation. She has a wealth of in-depth knowledge of both operational and strategic finance, specifically in the hospitality industry where margins are tight and cash flow imperative. Knowing the content is one thing, but knowing how to teach others is what Debra excels at, with her years of experiences as a professional lecturer, trainer, coach and teacher.
For over 10 years, she has been my go-to person for training any group of managers at all levels to explore and understand the financial story of their business. She is an invaluable member of our delivery team for the Award-winning Master Innholders Aspiring Leaders Diploma and the MIDAS series.

*FREE + PUBLIC EVENT*
Join us for a conversation with journalists, health experts, + travel brands to answer some of the questions around travel & vaccine equity.
*About this event*
While vaccines for COVID-19 have become more widely available, vaccinations are significantly lagging at a global level, particularly in low to middle-income nations. According to the World Health Organization’s director general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, of the 4.8 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses delivered around the world to date, roughly 75% have gone to just 10 countries.
While high-income countries across the globe have administered around 100 doses for every 100 citizens, low-income countries have administered only 1.5 for every 100 citizens.
This deep inequity in access to vaccines will inevitably mean more loss of life and the continued upending of our daily lives. According to the World Health Organization and the United Nations Development Programme, global vaccine inequity will have a lasting and profound impact on the global economic recovery.
What exactly does that mean for the travel and tourism industry? How does this affect the communities we live in and destinations we travel to? And how can we, as everyday travelers and citizens, make an impact?
Join Wanderful for a conversation with journalists, health experts, and travel brands to answer some of these complex and heavy questions and move towards actionable solutions.
This is a FREE event, open to the public. A recording will be available to all who register. Special thanks to Intrepid Travel for sponsoring our conversation. Join us!

Sustainability in Luxury Travel Industry
About this event
Panel Discussion
1. The luxury travel industry perhaps gets more than its fair share of flak. Isn’t it the commoditised end of the market with $50 return—fare-flights that is really causing the environmental damage? The cheap travel doesn’t internalise environmental costs and that is what has caused a massive spike in travel related pollution.
– Can or should one even try to regulate the travel industry from a pollution perspective?
– Does a small $5 increase in fare really going to deter the travellers who are used to cheap holidays?
– What are the alternatives?
2. Sustainability has to go beyond “we don’t wash towels every day” in the luxury travel industry.
What are the travel and tourism brands doing to embrace sustainability?
The trends are promising but more action and leadership is needed today.
Case Studies
