CXCentric Conversation: Driving Growth in the Hospitality Sector through Exceptional Experiences. An interactive & international discussion.
About this event
The Hospitality Industry has been one of the hardest hit during the pandemic. Many organisations have struggled to stay a float. However there are some organisations that have managed to bounce back, and already have their hotels fully booked over the next 4-5 months.
Speaking to leaders of successful organisations in the Hospitality Sector, we have noticed a clear trend – they all take their Guest Experience very seriously.
In this CX Centric Conversation we begin with a keynote from Alec Dalton, Senior Quality Manager at Marriott International. We will learn about the strategies and tactics they use to grow their business through customer experience.
We will then break up into groups to explore the challenges in the Hospitality Sector, the future of hospitality, and brainstorm solutions together.
These events are hosted by Jonathan Daniels, Director of CX Centric and author of The Customer Experience Playbook.
And Sponsored by Freshworks and CX Brussels.
Keynote Speakers:
Alec Dalton, Senior Manager, Marriott International.
Sharon Head, Head of Customer Success, Freshworks
As usual we have curated panel members representing each continent including:

Solutions for post-pandemic recovery in Tourism, Hospitality & Gastronomy
About this event
Modul University Vienna, Falkensteiner Ventures, and Talent Garden Vienna join forces to present:
“Innovate to Recalibrate! Solutions for post-pandemic recovery in Tourism, Hospitality & Gastronomy”.
The Covid 19 pandemic has disrupted many sectors. With this event, we would like to analyze two of them that have been strongly affected by this crisis: hotel & hospitality and food & beverage.
Crisis provides an opportunity to rethink one’s business, to recalibrate it to new quality standards. One crisis always leads to change, and therefore to innovation and self-improvement.

We will explore this topic with the help of several experts and great innovation enthusiasts. The event will be entirely in English and will be structured in two parts:
– a panel discussion moderated by Petra Hauser (country manager at Talent Garden Austria) entitled “Industry meets research: perspectives on innovation in Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy to recalibrate in a post-pandemic world” with experts from AblnBev, Falkensteiner Ventures and Modul University.

Explore the future of tourism with the Whistler Institute’s panel discussion on May 14, 2021, ‘Tourism: Building Back Better’.
About this event
‘Tourism: Building Back Better’ is part of the Global Perspectives Speaker Series, an initiative of the Whistler Institute, located in Whistler, BC, Canada.
- Could the devastating impact of COVID-19 on the tourism industry and on travelers’ experiences also be an opportunity for a reset and a reinvention?
- Can tourism recover from the shock of the pandemic by being “greener, smarter and less crowded”?
These are questions posed in a recent New York Times article that asks if the future of travel has moved beyond sustainability and eco-tourism and suggests that “the new frontier is ‘regenerative travel,’ or leaving a place better than you found it.”
As the world recovers from the global pandemic, there will be a renewed freedom to travel and a need for economic recovery – both in the tourism industry and within local communities. Now is the time to address the challenges and risks ahead so that the future of travel is better for the earth and for its people.
Panel Participants:
- Barrett Fisher: President & CEO, Tourism Whistler

Where European cities were once managing the challenges of tourism growth, they are now facing the need to restore confidence among visitors and local residents, and to breathe life back into city centres and neighbourhoods.
With this in mind, on Thursday 29th April, TOPOSOPHY will partner with HOTREC, the umbrella Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Cafes and similar establishments in Europe to deliver a webinar with expert practitioners in European urban tourism and hospitality. As we look ahead to the coming years, we’ll be asking questions such as:
– What role can the hospitality sector play in supporting the recovery of European cities?
– How can hotels and restaurants play a more active role in neighbourhood life?
– How can policymakers help to create a fair and sustainable environment for Europe’s hospitality sector to thrive post-pandemic?
– How can the acceleration of digital technologies and big data help achieve those goals?
We look forward to welcoming:
Amaryllis Verhoeven, Head of the European Commission ‘Digital transformation of industry’ Unit (DG GROW G3)
Alexandros Vassilikos, President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels
Steve Lowy, Accommodation Expert, TOPOSOPHY
Peter Jordan, Head of Insights, TOPOSOPHY
Marie Audren, Director General, HOTREC
Registration is open to all, and free of charge.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Rethink data in real time
Time waits for no one and neither does data. Actionable, real-time data helps to plan your operational, financial and marketing strategies. You can look to the past, too, with YoY property and competitor data perfect for building leaderboards that track success.
Maximize profitability
It doesn’t matter how smart you are – algorithms will always be smarter. But that’s good: embracing business intelligence tools that study market trends, occupancy data and much more can help to develop new pricing strategies.
Connect with your guests
Hospitality is all about being hospitable, and it’s easier to do that if you know your guests. Data can build in-depth guest profiles, allowing you to segment messaging and personalize experiences to keep your customers returning.
15.05 – 15.30
Q&A via interactive app Sli.do
What you will learn
Industry experts walk us through strategies that can inspire change for you and your team.
We consider the impact that data will have on the industry going forward.
